Discover the joys of self expression through oil painting. Connie Christensen will guide beginners through their first paintings, offering lessons, tips and techniques on color mixing, shading, composition, and supplies. Supply list provided.

Intermediate/Advance Oil/Acrylic/Pastel
Exploring the Secrets of Better Painting
Designed for intermediate and advanced painters, this class will focus on increasing an understanding of the elements of color, design and technique, allowing you to easily take your painting abilities to the next level. Students are invited to work on a new or existing project of their favorite subject matter (landscape, abstraction, still life, portrait). Small class size allows for much personal attention. Students may work in their medium of choice, oils, acrylics or pastel.

Please bring to the first class:
Gamblin Sketching Oils Introductory Set ($42.46)
Set includes Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, and Phthalo Green.
Brushes: #9148 Princeton Real Value Brushes, Natural and Synthetic ($11.89).
Container of either Turpenoid ($11.04) or Gamsol ($12.28) (low odor turpentine substitutes).
Liquin painting medium ($7.31).
16X20 or 11X14 stretched artist canvas, Fredrix Red Label.
Please bring a coffee can with lid or similar to class to hold paint thinner, or you can purchase a brush washer ($29.74).
Paper towels.
Please bring a few images (photos, etc.) you feel inspired to paint, so that we can choose the one that will be the most successful.
